The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's U-turn on demonetisation shows the BJP-led NDA Government's failure in executing the move.
"It's been 40 days and I think Naidu ji had a bad experience. As he is the Chief Minister of a state, it is being tough for him to tolerate his people. No relief can be seen in near future post demonetisation," NCP leader Tariq Anwar told ANI.
"In such circumstances, I think Naidu ji's remark is right to some extent. This is in a way a bad signal to the NDA that its biggest supporter is himself worried about it and the government is a failure in this," he added.
Addressing a party function of Telugu Desam Party in Vijayawada, Naidu highlighted the problems faced by the people due to demonetisation.
"Demonetisation is not our will and wish hence our state people are also facing several problems," he said.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister had earlier extended his support to demonetisation and called it "a moral victory for the TDP.
