The trailer of Ansel Elgort's upcoming sci-fi movie is out and it shows the 'The Fault in Our Stars' actor juggling with dual personalities.
The trailer witnesses Jonathan and John, two personalities that inhabit the same body (played by Elgort) in what the film describes as "single body multi-consciousness." Jonathan lives during the day while John takes over at night, and they communicate with each other daily through video messages. However, the story takes an interesting turn as one of the personalities starts to break their previously established rules.
Though the pair seems to cohabit the same body in relative harmony, the trailer begins to spiral out of control when one part of Jonathan learns that the other has a girlfriend. The final moments see Elgort's character warring with himself over who should love Elena.
It also represents dramatic and eerie moments from Elgort as his character traverses mystery, trickery, and betrayal.
The film, directed by Bill Oliver, also stars Matt Bomer, 'Sharp Objects' Patricia Clarkson as Jonathan's doctor, and Suki Waterhouse as his girlfriend, Elena.
'Jonathan' will hit the theatres on November 16.
