Arrogance of Samajwadi Party cause for present law and order situation, says Naqvi

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said that the arrogance of the Samajwadi Party is the cause for the present law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

"The goons are doing this in UP, as lawlessness has prevailed in the state. There is a power crisis in the state due to the arrogance of the government there," said Naqvi.

"SP should introspect what will happen if people lose patience. In the recent Lok Sabha polls, the common man of UP has taught the Samajwadi Party a lesson. They have given it a fitting reply," he added.

Two minor Dalit girls were raped and their bodies found hanging from a tree in Katra village in Uttar Pradesh's Badoi District which sparked outrage among the villagers who accused the police of inaction.

"While two men accused of the girls' murder and gangrape have been arrested by the police, one other accused is still at large. One constable has also been arrested while a head constable is yet to be arrested for not taking action on the complaint about the missing girls," Badaun SSP Atul Saxena told the ANI today.
