The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has decided to increase the overall prize amount for the men's tennis tours, exceeding 100 million dollars for the first time in 2015.
According to an ATP statement, the increases at ATP events were a testament to the sustained success of men's professional tennis and it also demonstrated the ATP's confidence in the strength of its product and projected growth in future years, Sport24 reported.
The ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category has witnessed the biggest increase, with tournament providing annual increases of 11 percent combined with an additional three percent increase in ATP.
