Australia crushed West Indies by 277 runs to win the second test at Sabina Park on the fourth day of the match, cruising to a clean sweep over the hosts in the Frank Worrell Trophy.
Resuming at an overnight score of 16-2, the West Indies batsmen wilted under pressure against a fearsome bowling attack, losing five wickets for only 56 runs in the first session before crumbling for 114 shortly after lunch.
Only four batsmen managed to move into double-figures as Mitchell Starc claimed wickets of Kraigg Brathwaite (0), Rajendra Chandrika (0) and Shane Dowrich (4) while Veerasammy Parmaul remained not out at 23.
Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Lyon picked up two wickets each while Shane Watson claimed the lone wicket of Jason Holder.
Steven Smith was adjudged man of the match for scoring brilliant 199 and 54 not out, while Hazlewood was named man of the series for picking up 12 wickets.
Jubilant with the victory, Australian skipper Michael Clarke said that he was very happy with the performance of the team, especially the bowlers, and would look forward to be more consistent away from home.
Meanwhile, West Indies skipper Dinesh Ramdin said that his young team showed great character but admitted that they need to improve.
