World number two Victoria Azarenka has reached the finals of the Brisbane International tournament by beating Serbian Jelena Jankovic 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Friday in the semi-finals.
Azarenka will play either Serena Williams or Maria Sharapova in the finals.
According to Sport24, although the Belarussian was swept aside by Jankovic in just 29 minutes in the opening set and also went down 0-40 down in the first game of the second set, she however, fought her way back to win that game and eventually beat Jankovic, despite again faltering towards the end.
With her serve misfiring badly, the second seeded Azarenka looked certain of a quick exit on Pat Rafter Arena, particularly when she went 0-40 down in the first game of the second set, the report added.
