Italian football club AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has had to face racist chants at Italy's Soccer World Cup training base.

Balotelli reportedly appeared visibly disturbed after a few kids outside the Coverciano complex started throwing racist chants at the Italian international and police had to intervene.

According to Sport24, Balotelli said that only in Rome and Florence are the ones, who throw racist chants at the players, that stupid.

Police approached the area where the chants came from at the striker, although most of the fans cheered for Balotelli, the report added.
