Justin Beiber has reportedly irked fans of the upcoming 'Batman vs. Superman' film, after he posted a picture on Twitter, which suggested that he had been signed up for the superhero flick .
The 19-year-old Canadian star sparked the rumor as he tweeted a picture of himself with a script of the film and wrote "#Robin at the weekend", Metro.co.uk reported.
Disgruntled fans took to social media sites to express their anger with one saying that "the would be ruined if that little squirt was in it", and another declared that he would rather kill himself than watch Bieber even have a part in this movie".
However, British boyband Union J said that the 'Baby' singer would do justice to the role.
Later, it was revealed that Beiber was filming a spoof for Will Ferrell-backed website 'Funny Or Die', as he tweeted 'Off to do something funny . . . or die,' in quick succession to his Robin tweet.
'Batman vs. Superman', which is due to release in July 2015, is the planned sequel to Zack Snyder-directed film 'Man Of Steel'.
