Australian Test opener Chris Rogers has said that England's towering fast bowlers hold no fears for Australia's batsmen, even on lively Ashes pitches.

An unlikely batting hero of Australia's ill-fated summer Ashes campaign, Rogers believes that playing against the tall England tourists will not be any harder on pitches which are likely to be more 'venomous' than the 'lifeless' ones served by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in the summer.

According to News.com.au, although England legend Ian Botham suggested that another rout is on the cards with the visitors' batsmen and bowlers suited to the pace and bounce, Rogers however, said that the England pace attack would offer no surprises.

Although he admitted that it is always a challenge for a batsman facing tall bowlers, Roger also said that the same bowlers would be pressurized to find the right length or risk not hitting the stumps, adding that if England's pacers do that, then they would make the decisions a lot easier for the Australian batters.

Rogers, who churned out 367 runs in the summer series frustrating English seamers with impeccable awareness of his off stump, further said that the renowned lively pitches in Brisbane and Perth would give him the upper hand as, with the extra bounce on offer, the tourists will fight the temptation to bowl short.
