Bayern Munich is ready to offer 40 million pounds to get Chelsea star David Luiz after they suffered a Super Cup defeat to rivals Borussia Dortmund.
According to The Sun, boss Pep Guardiola wanted the Brazilian when he was in charge of Barcelona and now, having moved to European champions Bayern, Guardiola is ready to pounce.
The report said that Bayern could be looking at offering a package that could rise to 45 million pounds, including bonuses, which would represent a whacking profit for Chelsea, who only paid 21m pounds to Benfica for the player two years ago.
Chelsea sources claim Luiz is not for sale but the player himself has been unsettled by stories which have constantly linked him with a move, the report added.
