'Beleaguered' Moyes appeals to United fans for support

Manchester United boss David Moyes has reportedly written a letter to United's fans asking for a show of support from them following United's poor performance this season.

The under-fire Scot has written an impassioned appeal to fans in a letter entitled 'A word from the boss' and admitted that he also had not foreseen the current state of the club, the report added.

According to the Metro, Moyes has said in his letter that although he knew that 'this job' would be a 'challenge', but he had not 'envisaged' the 'difficult season' they have experienced so far, which he is sure is the case with United's fans as well.

Moyes, who was appointed United's boss by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has also indicated that it is just fans outside the club that were turning against his stewardship and reportedly thanked United's for sticking together with them adding that at in the 'long run' they would all 'come out the other end' having gotten 'stronger' with the experience.
