Bengaluru: Thousands of dead fishes floating in Sheelavantanakere lake at Nallurahalli

Thousands of dead fishes on Saturday were reported to be floating in the Sheelavantanakere lake in Nallurahalli, Bengaluru.

Many more fishes are on a verge of dying due to the contaminated water which has devastated the marine ecosystem lies in the heart of Whitefield area.

Fishermen have cleared several tonnes of dead fish in three days and residents across the lake say they have been witnessing this phenomenon for the last four days.

Sheelavantanakere lake at Nallurahalli lies in Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka.
