Czech sixth seed Tomas Berdych has defeated US player John Isner to reach the quarterfinals of the French Open on Sunday.
Berdych's superior all-round game was clear on Court Suzanne Lenglen as he dominated throughout to defeat Isner 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 and seeing to the exit of the last man from the United States left in the draw.
According to Sport24, in the third set, Isner delayed the crucial break until his second service game but Berdych was never troubled as he moved through to the quarter-finals.
Berdych will next meet Ernests Gulbis, who defeated Swiss ace Roger Federer in the fourth round.
