In a boost to Hillary Clinton's prospect of becoming Democrat's Presidential candidate for the 2016 elections, United States vice-president Joe Biden has announced that he would not run for country's top post.

Reuters reported quoting Biden: "While I will not be a candidate, I will not be silent, I intend to speak out clearly and forcefully to influence as much as I can where we stand as a party and where we need to go as a nation,"

He made the announcement in the White House Rose Garden, with President Obama by his side.
