Bihar Minister Vinod Singh who missed the last rites ceremony of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel Mujahid Khan said that his attendance at the ceremony "would not have brought him back to life".
On being questioned why Singh skipped the last rites of Khan, who lost his life in Srinagar's Karan Singh area terror attack, the Bhojpur district minister said: "What would we have achieved had I gone there yesterday? I salute the soldier from my heart and could not have brought him back had I gone there yesterday."
Khan was on Wednesday laid to rest at his native village of Piro in Bhojpur.
