Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that the slogan of 'acche din' wasn't that of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but that of a marketing company.

"These are times of marketing. The slogan of 'acche din' wasn't the slogan of a party but of a marketing company. If it would have been the party's slogan, then good days would have definitely come," said Yadav while addressing a rally here.

"Good days did not come for Uttar Pradesh, I wonder if it came to Bihar," he added.

Yadav also took a jibe at the BJP for the promises made during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

"They said they will clean the Ganga. But now they want to deepen it for industrial purposes. They say they will make big ships sail on it," he added.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also took the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the Samajwadi Party.

The Samajwadi Party is contesting the Bihar Assembly polls in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Manch (JAM).
