Billy Bob Thorton has signed with FX for a 10-episode series called 'Fargo', which is based on the Oscar winning movie of the same name.
Thorton will be playing the role of Lorne Malvo, a rootless guy who meets a small-town insurance salesman and sets him on a path of destruction, which was not part of the original 1996 flick, the New York Post reported.
The series which is written by Noah Hawley, would premier next spring and is co-produced by FX Productions and MGM Television.
