BJP does not have any chief ministerial candidate for Haryana: B S Hooda

Ahead of the upcoming Haryana Legislative Assembly elections in October, Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not naming its chief ministerial candidate from Haryana because it does not have anyone in Haryana who can take on that responsibility.

"Why doesn't Amit Shah say who is going to be the chief ministerial candidate from BJP in Haryana. Because they do not anyone here who can take the responsibility of a chief minister," Hooda told ANI.

"When there is election in Delhi they take the name of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, in Madhya Pradesh they take the name of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in Chhattisgarh they talk about Raman Singh, in Rajasthan they take the name of Vasundhara Raje Scindia, so why are they quite about Harayana?," he added.

Terming every election as a challenge, Hooda said, "I am confident that Congress will form the Government in Haryana for the third time."

Elections for 90 members Haryana Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held on October 15, the results will be announced on October 19.
