Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday expressed their displeasure over distribution of party tickets for parliamentary polls in Bihar.

On Thursday, the BJP released its third list of candidates for the upcoming general elections and the names of 25 candidates were announced by the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the party.

However, certain leaders of BJP felt aggrieved following the declaration of the list. They alleged that BJP's core committee did not consider the names of senior leaders, who could make BJP win in those particular constituencies in Bihar.

"I think there is interference of regional leadership and there has been political dishonesty. They have valued the new comers, and have insulted the old party workers due to which party workers at local level are hurt," said BJP leader, Ashwini Kumar Choubey.

Similarly, another leader of BJP from Bihar, Giriraj Singh, seemed offended after being allotted Nawada constituency instead of Begusarai, from where he wanted to contest.

"I have always maintained that I will contest from Begusarai, if not I will work for the party. I am going to meet national president and I will inform him about the whole situation," said Singh.

However, Bihar BJP President Mangal Pandey said the party workers follow the decision taken by the central leadership of the party.

"We all are party workers and we follow whatever decision party's central leadership takes and tread on the same path. The issue of party ticket during elections is resolved by Central Election Committee (CEC) and its decision is agreed upon by the central leadership which we all party workers follow," said Pandey.

Pandey added that he was not aware of any disapproval by the party members.
