BJP salutes cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday applauded the terrific contribution of batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who bid adieu to cricket, and said there cannot be another player like him.

"Sachin is great player. There cannot be another player like him. His 74 runs yesterday are above all the centuries. I wish him good luck. Sachin Tendulkar will be the most eligible person to receive the Bharat Ratna," BJP leader and former cricketer Kirti Azad said.

BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said that an icon like Sachin Tendulkar would continue to inspire billions of people to take up sports.

"The era of a legend has come to an end. We are saddened by his farewell. He has conquered hearts of millions. He will continue to inspire people. An icon like Sachin can inspire people towards sports," he said.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) pesident Anurag Thakur said the master blaster would never be forgotten for his immense contribution to the cricketing world.

"Crores of people have bid him farewell. Now, we will never see him play again. We pray that in coming days, in whatever field he will go, he will get successes. He will never be forgotten," he said.

Tendulkar gave an excellent farewell speech where he left nobody to thank out of whoever had helped him in his inspiring life as a cricketer for India.
