The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his 'repackaging' remark, saying he is upset that he won't be able to use the money.
"Nitish Kumar is possibly very upset because he will never have the opportunity to use that money to develop Bihar. Hence, he is challenging the package that it is repackaging," said BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
"He is spending a lot of time in scrutinizing the package announced for Bihar," he added.
Rudy advised Nitish to tell the people about the work which he has done in his tenure.
"He should tell people of the works he has done and seek a mandate and that would be more desirable for a person like Nitish Kumar," he said.
The Bihar Chief Minister had earlier lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his 'special package' for Bihar and accused him of creating a hype and making noise without any substance.
"We dissected the special package and found out the truth. It's nothing but a mere repackaging of old schemes, appropriation of pre-approved allocations for the old ones and continued contributions to ongoing schemes," he said.
