The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reportedly slammed the Sheikh Hasina-led government for its failure to ink a deal on sharing of Teesta river water with India.
BNP spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon said at a press briefing that the whole nation was disappointed, reported The Daily Star.
A total of 22 deals were signed between New Delhi and Dhaka, including the much-awaited Land Boundary agreement, during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to Bangladesh.
However, the dispute over the sharing of Teesta water remained unsettled.
