England all-rounder Ravi Bopara has insisted that his side's batsmen are adequately prepared for the challenge of a dangerous bowling onslaught from maverick Sri Lankan bowlers Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis in Thursday's vital World Twenty20 match.
The 2010 champions, which lost to New Zealand on the Duckworth-Lewis method in Saturday's rain-ruined Super 10 match, need to beat in-form Sri Lanka, who is on top of Group One, in Chittagong to remain in control of their destiny in the tournament.
However, Sport24 reports that Bopara attributed Sri Lanka's win over the Netherland to the Dutch's inexperience and said that England is better prepared for Malinga, whose sling-shot action makes him difficult to read, and the mystery spin bowling of Mendis.
However, Bopara admitted that England is aware that they have no luxury to relax in Chittagong unlike Sri Lanka, which has beaten both South Africa and the Netherlands, and said that the match is a 'must-win' game for them as it would be a big confidence boost for the team in the tournament.
But Bopara also said that his team is confident of success as they have done a lot of good things in the last few games and the players are getting better at their skills.
