The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday granted Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA A. Revanth Reddy, who was arrested for attempting to bribe a nominated member of the state assembly, a one-day interim bail.

According to reports, he has been granted bail to attend his daughter's engagement ceremony.

Revanth Reddy had been arrested last week after the nominated member, Elvis Stephenson, lodged a complaint with the ACB.

The TDP MLA and his aide had gone to Stephenson's residence in Secunderabad to hand over the cash when the ACB caught the two.
