BSE closes 265.39 points up, Nifty ends 69.70 points up

Trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today closed 265.39 points up to stand at 28,198.29.

At the National Stock Exchange (Nifty) closed 69.70 points up to stand at 8,523.80.

Amtek Auto Ltd, Rallis India, KPIT and Mthoot Finance Ltd. were the top gainers of the day in Group A, with increases of 8.92, 7.03, 6.94 and 6.17 percent respectively.

The top losers of Group A were DCB Bank, Supreme Industries, Bajaj Electricals and Bhushan Steel Ltd, with decreases of 5.87, 4.92, 4.38 and 4.29 percent respectively.

The auto sector ended up 249.27 points at 18,774.19, while the banking sector wents up 37.59 points at 21,585.43.

The realty sector went up 7.29 points at 1,417.10.

Indian currency, however, dropped 0.01 percent to ve Rs.63.39 to the dollar.
