BSF confirms cross-border firing in Samba Sector(Update:firing)

Border Security Force (BSF) sources on Wednesday said that there was cross border firing at around 2. 30 a.m. this morning.

They said the firing took place in the Samba Ssector and continued for about 20 minutes.

On Tuesday, inhabitants of Sadoh Village in the Samba Sector of Jammu and Kashmir had complained of cross firing near the international Border (IB).

The villagers told ANI that the firing took place around 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

They also confirmed that Indian security forces had retaliated to the firing from across the border.

The cross-border firing lasted for about ten minutes, they said.
