McLaren driver Jenson Button is convinced that his team will end a disappointing Formula One season with a podium spot in the final race of the year in Brazil this weekend.
According to Metro.co.uk, the 2009 world champion is all too aware that McLaren haven't gone through a whole season without a podium finish since 1980, something that will be repeated unless he or Sergio Perez finish in the top three on Sunday.
Button said that he does not think that the team is far off the pace of any car apart from Red Bull, and the Lotus, but with everyone else, if the team has a good weekend, they would be able to challenge.
He added that if McLaren does not get a podium, it is not going to change the way they go about their car next year, but it would be a nice way to end the season.
