Casio Computer Co. Ltd has announced the launch of four electronic cash registers- the SR-S500, S4000, C550, and C4500. These new models are compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy, making it possible to use a smartphone to perform cash register settings, confirm sales, and create a diary.
In addition to being even more user friendly, the new cash registers offer smartphone-linked functions to support store management, including a feature that makes it easier to analyse sales.
Changing product names and prices or performing other settings is often troublesome with a cash register unit. However, since the new models can be operated from a smartphone, these settings are easier to perform for improved efficiency.
Since sales can be checked using a smartphone from a remote location, timely measures can be taken to respond to the store's sales and other situations. In addition, graphs of store sales on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis can be viewed, making sales trends easy to understand.
Furthermore, the new products allow users to create a diary including text and photos. The diary can be reviewed in conjunction with a sales graph, and the relationship between the events of the day and sales can be checked.
With its cash registers, Casio will continue to provide value for store management by developing various store support solutions using smartphone apps.
