Cate Blanchett has opened up for the first time about her daughter Edith Vivian Patricia Upton and why she decided to adopt a baby girl.
The 'Blue Jasmine' actress said while appearing at the premiere of 'Cinderella' that it was wonderful to welcome a girl in their family, and also there was nothing wrong adopting a child as there were a lot of children who did not have the good fortunate that biological children have, E! Online reported.
The 45-year-old Australian actress, who has been married to playwright Andrew Upton for 17 years, added that they were smitten with their daughter and it was completely an extraordinary feeling.
Blanchett expressed her desire to have a bigger family previously, and said that she would love to have more children.
