Catherine Zeta-Jones has finally opened about husband Michael Douglas' cancer battle, revealing that she didn't think she had the "emotional tools" to deal with his disease.
The Hollywood actress told a UK publication that when Douglas was diagnosed with cancer she really thought: 'You are going to have to wipe me off the floor,' the Daily Express reported.
The 'Side Effects' star asserted that the cancer happens to people all the time, but it's still a huge shock when the cards start to fall and you realise, 'My God, it really is happening to us'.
The 43-year-old brunette told the tabloid that the 'Basic Instinct' actor was first diagnosed with throat cancer back in 2010, and was told it was stage four, with stage five being death.
Zeta-Jones said that her spouse is a very matter-of-fact person and once he was diagnosed he was like, 'Okay, what do I do?'
She added that Douglas was very intensive, but he still retained his sense of humour during the whole ordeal.
