CBDT raids unearth Rs.20 crores in Kolkata, Siliguri

Rupees 20 crores has reportedly been recovered by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in raids conducted by it across Kolkata and Siliguri on the basis of information provided to it by the Intelligence Bureau.

CBDT sources said Thursday that nine locations have been raided, and the Rs.20 crores was retrieved from two of them.

They said the raids are continuing and reports from six other locations are awaited.
