The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday accused the BJP-led NDA Government of playing 'politics of revenge' and alleged that the ruling dispensation is making desperate attempts to dismiss the state government.
"The BJP is playing politics of revenge. They went to Chief Minister's office and conducted the raid. When this issue came out in the media, they started saying that they have sealed the office of the Principal Secretary," AAP leader Ashutosh told ANI.
"Why didn't they inform the Chief Minister if they wanted any file? This is an act of cowardice. Why didn't they raid the office in Madhya Pradesh where more than 40 people have been killed in the Vyapam scam?" he added.
Asserting that Principal Secretary Rajinder Kumar is a very honest person, Ashutosh further accused the Centre of targeting the former as he is working with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Condemning the CBI raid on Kejriwal's office, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had earlier accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to stop 'honest politics'.
"Modi is trying to stop honest politics by scaring (us) with CBI raids. People are with truth, they will not let him succeed," Sisodia tweeted.
He further said that the Centre was trying to instill fear among the officers working under Delhi Government.
Refuting Kejriwal's allegation on the raid on Chief Minister's office, the CBI has said that the raid was conducted on the Principal Secretary's office following a warrant.
Kejriwal has accused the CBI of 'lying' and asserted that the investigating agency was looking at the files in the Chief Minister's office.
