The Chandigarh-Mananli National Highway was blocked near Mandi in Himachal Pradesh following a huge landslide.
Rubbles comprising boulders and rocks blocked the highway near Hanogi temple on the bank of the Beas River in Mandi district.
Public Works Department Engineer-in-Chief said it is difficult to open the highway by Tuesday. "Four excavators and machines, along with the field staff, have been deployed to clear the blockade," he said.
"The path is partially opened for walkers, and they are trying to open the NH for small vehicles by tomorrow morning. The vehicles from Manali, Kullu and Mandi are being diverted via Katola," he added.
