Forward Edinson Cavani's second-half header helped Paris St-Germain earn a draw against Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

Defender Branislav Ivanovic put Chelsea ahead in the 36th minute following a well-worked pass by Gary Cahill.

Subsequently, Cavani headed home an equalizer few minutes after the start of the second half, which also saw PSG taking an aggressive approach as they attempted 14 shots to Chelsea's two.

Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals at PSG's expense last term on away goals after losing 3-1 in Paris and Demba Ba's last-gasp strike in the return in London.

Jose Mourinho's men will meet PSG again in Champions League second leg on March 12 at Stamford Bridge.
