Chit fund scam: Manoranjana and Shantanu Ghosh produced before court
Former union minister Matang Sinh's estranged wife Manoranjana Sinh and entrepreneur Shantanu Ghosh were produced before the Alipore Court in Kolkata on Thursday in connection with their roles in the Saradha chit fund case.
The Central Board of Investigation (CBI) had earlier carried out searches in 19 locations in West Bengal and Odisha in connection with the multi-crore chit fund scam.
Other than CBI, Enforcement Directorate ( ED) and Income Tax department are probing the infamous Saradha chit fund scam of West Bengal in which people were duped of at least Rs 2,500 crore worth investments.
