The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain the bail plea of Saradha chit-fund scam accused and former union minister Matang Sinh's estranged wife Manoranjana Sinh.
The apex court asked her to approach the Calcutta High Court in this regard.
Sinh and entrepreneur Shantanu Ghosh were produced before the Alipore Court in Kolkata on October 8 last year in connection with their roles in the case.
The Central Board of Investigation (CBI) had earlier carried out searches in 19 locations in West Bengal and Odisha in connection with the multi-crore chit fund scam.
Other than CBI, the Enforcement Directorate ( ED) and Income Tax department are probing the infamous Saradha chit-fund scam of West Bengal in which the people were duped of at least Rs. 2,500 crore worth investments.
