Chitkara University has announced that its professor Dr. Nitin Saluja has been selected to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 (www.ges2017.org) at the Hyderabad Convention Centre in Hyderabad, India on November 28-30, 2017.

He is an innovator of a smart sensor based weed control machine named E-Deweeder. The machine is based on high-frequency waves to selectively treat the weed. This is a self-traversing farm machine with automatic deduction and treatment of weeds.

Hosting GES 2017 in Hyderabad will highlight India's entrepreneurial spirit, and enable investors and entrepreneurs to witness the talent, solution and opportunities that exist globally.

A strong group of entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem actors reflecting diversity of age, gender, geography, industry, and expertise will attend GES 2017. The Summit will create an environment that empowers innovators to take their ideas to the next level.

At GES 2017, over 1500 attendees, including entrepreneurs, investors, educators, government officials, and business representatives will represent the full measure of entrepreneurial talent from diverse backgrounds across our nation and the world. Through networking, mentoring and workshops, the GES empowers entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, and create innovative products and services that will transform societies for better tomorrow.

GES 2017 will create an environment that empowers innovators, particularly women, to take their ideas to the next level. Women represent tremendous promise for economic growth and prosperity - but in both developing and developed countries, also face tremendous barriers to building businesses. This year's theme is "Women First, Prosperity for All" to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit in all its strength, diversity, and entirety.

The 2017 GES intends to inspire innovative initiatives, forge new collaborations across countries, and increase economic opportunities, particularly amongst women. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the president, will lead the U.S. delegation to elevate women's entrepreneurship globally.

"GES 2017 is an invite-only event that will feature 1,500 entrepreneurs from 140 countries. We are proud of Dr. Nitin Saluda to have made it into the list of global invitees and are totally honoured to have him represent Chitkara University in the prestigious summit along the side-lines of Ivanka Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University.
