Oscar-winning star Chris Cooper will be portraying late author J.D. Salinger in the upcoming film 'Coming Through the Rye.'
The project, which is a coming-of-age story, set in 1969, would see Emmy-winning TV director Jim Sadwith make his feature film debut, and would star Alex Wolff and 'The Carrie Diaries' star Stefania Owen actress as the two teenagers who set out to find the notoriously recluse author, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Sadwith, who would also be producing the film with Stan Erdreich and Teddy Grennan, has based the film on his own attempt to track down Salinger and his encounters with the author of The Catcher in the Rye.
