Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day set to star in New Line's 'Vacation'

Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in negotiations to star in New Line's remake to the classic 1980s comedy series 'Vacation'.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film, scripted by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, will also be their directorial debut, stars Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold and Christina Applegate will be playing his wife.

Hemsworth will play Stone Crandall, husband of Rusty's sister Audrey and Day will cameo as a river-rafting guide in the film, which is set to begin shooting in September.
