The BJP on Friday slammed the Congress Party for the disruptions in the Parliament, saying that the latter's habit of keeping the interest of the Gandhi and Nehru families at the behest of the interest of the people is now coming out in front of the people.
"Congress' old habit of keeping the interest of the Gandhi, Nehru family is coming out in front of the people. They believe that the democracy can work only under their rule. That's why they have been trying to disrupt the proceedings of the Parliament," Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore told the press conference.
"We will issue red corner notice against Lalit Modi very soon," he added.
The Monsoon session of Parliament, which was a virtual washout, ended yesterday. The controversy surrounding former IPL boss Lalit Modi and the Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh dominated the four-week long session paralyzing the functioning of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The proceedings in both the Houses were drowned during the entire session with the Congress adamant on its demand for the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan over the Lalit-Gate and Vyapam scam.
