Nepal Federal Socialist Forum chairperson Upendra Yadav has demanded that the Constitution 'enforced' by the league of the three major political parties should be rewritten.

Speaking at a party programme at Pipalchowk in Udayapur district headquarters Gaighat, Yadav accused the three major parties of resorting to force to implement the Constitution, reports The Himalayan Times.

The Constitution imposed by the group of three big parties is not what the people had wanted, he said while arguing that the statute should be written by ensuring federal provinces vested with the rights to self-governance and provincial autonomy.

Accusing the government of thriving on the support of smugglers, black-marketeers and mafias, Yadav said it is high time that an alternative to the present UML-led government was sought.

He pledged fresh agitation to ensure equal rights and justice for the oppressed.

Training his guns on the government, the Federal Socialist Forum chairperson further said that a nationwide agitation would be launched soon aimed at establishing equal rights and justice to all people, including the Madhesis.
