After directing the biggest hit of all time in Bollywood 'Dangal,' Nitesh Tiwari has finally found his next project.
The director is working on a screen adaptation of Varun Agarwal's 2012 bestseller "How I Braved Anu Aunty and Co-founded a Million Dollar Company".
The film will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, under their banners RSVP and Roy Kapur Films, respectively.
The book is a true story set in Bangalore about pursuing your dreams, or as its author puts it, 'Take the leap and then think."
Nitesh, Ronnie and Siddharth's association goes back to Nitesh's first film Chillar Party, which Ronnie and Siddharth produced under the UTV Spotboy banner.
The association continued to flourish when UTV approached Nitesh with the story of 'Dangal' and asked him to write and direct it for the big screen. Nitesh wrote a riveting script, Siddharth called Aamir and asked for a narration, Aamir loved what he heard and the rest is history!
Now after 'Chillar Party' and 'Dangal,' they are coming together for a youthful movie that is as topical as ever, dealing with the entrepreneurial "start-up" culture that the youth of today is opting for, rejecting the standard doctor, engineer, MBA templates favoured by their parents' generation.
The film will feature one of the top stars from the younger set, and it is understood that they are currently evaluating who would be best suited to play the lead role.
Given their stellar track record, it will be exciting to see what Nitesh, Siddharth and Ronnie have in store for audiences this time round.
