Doordarshan Kendra (Delhi) is organising the second leg of 'Meri Awaaz Suno', featuring the best of Hindi film music duet songs, on November 22 at Siri Fort Auditorium from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In the recent past, it had hosted several musical shows commemorating legends in the Hindi film world like Mohd Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey which have received huge response from the public.

This show is however unique and different from earlier shows as it is being performed by Differently-abled artists.

Following the first round of auditions held on October 25, at the Manekshaw Auditorium, wherein 117 singers and 12 dance troupes from different parts of the country had participated; four dance troupes and 22 singers have been selected to perform in the upcoming show.

Nadoja Dr Mahesh Joshi, Addl. DG who has conceived and planned the entire show says that the event is not only Doordarshan's mandate as a Public Service Broadcaster but also Doordarshan's hearfelt and sincere commitment to the cause of the differently abled.

He says a show of this nature is unique and a first of its kind as no other channel has attempted a show of this nature so far.

The show will give talented Differently-abled Singers, instrumentalists and Dance Troupes from around the country, an opportunity to showcase their talent on Doordarshan.

Dr. Joshi says that such shows will also help Doordarshan to win the hearts and minds of people once again and increase its popularity and viewership.
