David de Gea has signed a new four-year deal with Manchester United that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2019.
Confirming the news, United manager Louis van Gaal said that he felt delighted to sign the Spaniard, adding that De Gea is one of the best goalkeeper in the world.
Van Gaal further lauded the player for his important contribution for the club last season, adding that he is pleased to have him at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, De Gea admitted that United is a special club for him and he is looking forward to develop his career with United.
Earlier in the month, De Gea's much-anticipated move to Real Madrid failed to materialize before the transfer deadline due to miscommunication between the Spanish club and United.
De Gea had made 175 appearances for the club, including winning the Premier League title in 2013.
