The death toll in the bus and a maxi-cab collision has shot up to 16.
The mishap occurred when the passengers were on a visit to famous Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz Dargah situated in Karnataka's Gulbarga District.
Meanwhile, three people who were shifted to Gulbarga hospital, have succumbed to their injuries.
All those who died in the accident were seated in the maxi cab which was coming from Akalkot taluk, of Maharashtra's Solapur district.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Gulbarga, Amit Singh has confirmed these deaths and said: " out of the 15 injured at least six were receiving treatment in Gulbarga, while nine were shifted to a hospital in Solapur."
Earlier in the morning the initial reports showed that atleast ten people were killed in the accident.
