The 'Sada-e-Sarhad' bus, which travels between New Delhi and Lahore on Tuesday night met with a minor accident near Subhanpur village in Kapurthala district of Punjab, when it collided with the police vehicle that escorts it on National Highway 1.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the driver of the escort vehicle used the emergency breaks.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mukesh Kumar said that all the passengers travelling in the bus are safe, however, two police personnel have received injuries.
"The Lahore-bound bus was coming from Amritsar and met with a minor accident. We have fixed the bus and it resumed its journey. No passenger was injured. Two personnel of the Punjab Police received injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital," Kumar said.
