Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for not delivering on its promises of bringing back illegal black money stashed abroad.

"The Prime Minister said that there is a lot of black money abroad that we will bring back. He said that in 100 days, he will have this money in India. The 100 days have gone but not a rupee has come. And when he is asked, there is silence," Gandhi said at a public meeting here.

"My question to the government is that the people of this country gave you a mandate, what exactly have you done since?" he added.

The Gandhi scion further criticised the Centre for not doing enough on the stemming of black money and corruption.

"You spoke about black money, you have not got black money, and you spoke about corruption, corruption carries on," he claimed.
