Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung visited the Masoodpur slum where a raging fire devastated 1100 homes on Friday morning.
The fire broke around 7.30 a.m in the morning.
Local eyewitness said more than 1100 out of 1200 houses had been gutted in the blaze. No loss of life has been reported so far.
Fire tenders have been sent to the spot to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
