The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday asked senior South West District Police officers to appear before it on March 14.
They have been summoned in a case where a young girl was stabbed brutally by some boys on January 18, including the son of a serving sub-inspector of the Delhi Police.
The girl succumbed to her injuries on January 30.
An NCW team visited the family of the deceased on the basis of a complaint filed by the slain girl's father Ajit Singh.
NCW chairperson Lalita Kumaramangalam took up the matter with Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik.
The Joint Commissioner of Police (South-Western Range) has submitted a report to the NCW.
The NCW has sought further clarification from the Delhi Police.
