Delhi Police on Wednesday challenged the Patiala House Court's order acquitting all the IPL6 spot fixing accused, including S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeeth Chavan, three players from the Rajasthan Royals franchise.
A city court had earlier discharged all the accused in the 2013 case, saying that the police had failed to gather 'all necessary ingredients to establish a prima facie case' under stringent MCOCA.
The court also held that the Special Cell of Delhi Police has been unable to establish any "nexus" or link between accused and the crime syndicate being allegedly run by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, according to reports.
